Ban Boring Blogs: 10 Tips To Make Your Blog Bookmark-Worthy
Personally you can do without the wifi detector. Plenty of phones already have the ability to detect wifi access.
As for a hard disk, it's much better to get a large capacity high speed thumbdrive. 16 or a 32 gig Cosair or Sancruzer is a good bet. Try not to get a cheap one if you're going to be running programs off it otherwise it'll be slow, though storing movies and files is no problem.
It's all about being a road warrior. The less you have the more you can do for less, the better. While smart phones or the iPod touch is a good choice, I could never be far from a keyboard and a larger screen display.
Haha... don't mind me pimping my client a bit here, but I find my N95 essential.
5 MP camera takes 90% of the photos I use on my blog.
3.5G and bluetooth modem functionality let's me get online when I want where I want (thanks to Maxis 3G)
Full functioned web browser for checking comments, reading other's blogs and twittering.
:) I'd say everyone needs a device like this (yeah, so not just the N95 but if you could find a device with the same functions too, go for it.)
The shaver move very fast with 6000dpi sensor(normally mouse only 900dpi) and 4000Hz Ultra polling/0.25ms response time save your time at the bathroom for shave and let you start to blogging before others blog the topic.
The shaver also include 64KB on-board memory which let you personalize your shaving profile, you can check this http://www.impelgd.co.uk/razor/ :D
EVERYONE needs to get an external hard disk for sure. The one touch backup ones are great and hassle free.
Good list.
@ lengzai - im thinking about the water proof laptop that we can blog when we take a bath
@ greentac - i think the cheapest item that listed above was usb fan
@ jeremy - please let me know ya if your want to TT
@ flash online - i think so, because we can adjust the fan direction manually
@ wilson - i bought Maxtor One Touch but too bad..i bought it 2 weeks before the PC Fair :(
@ steve yu - currently im using standing fan, more powerful!
thanks liew cf reader for the great input :)
In the end, I'd favour a 12inch DELL Vostro for 2.5k. It's only a kilo heavier than the Eee PC.
And no, Lenovo doesn't make 12inch notebooks for that cheap, so David Lian, you needn't suggest it even if it isn't your account :P
- External harddisk: a mass storage device of over 4GB (some had tested up to 32GB)
- Wi-Fi detector: a wireless hub for several Wi-Fi-enabled devices to go online
For the mini-UPS, notebooks/laptops usually can last for about 2 hours on battery. When there's blackouts, you won't have the heart to do your work.
I recommend (currently) Celcom's 3G unlimited data plan. It only costs RM68/mth and you can online anywhere you want via your mobile phone or notebook and do live updates straight to your blog using Flickr's blogging function (supports wide-range of blog providers such as Wordpress, Blogger...etc.)
You can simply include the GPS coordinate of a location that you're writing. Besides, with the help of Garmin Mapsource and Malsingmaps, you can also simply make a print screen image to provide a cool and geographically accurate location map. In a post I've written about Pulau Melaka, I've included a location map made from Mapsource print screen.
Speaking of PDA, just for your information, HTC has took over Dopod quite long ago.
whenever I am lacking inspiration it comes in handy
I have iPod as my wifi detector, used it to check email.
If I really need to check my mail on the go, I just have to go GPRS on GMAIL.
It will be nice if Malaysia has cheap unlimited mobile broadband plan. As for the moment, cheapest is Celcom, but I am a Maxis user. If it's below RM50 then it will be great.
Gadget display at this site always fascinate me: http://www.thinkgeek.com
And... I've got one ;)
My first video clip is "Silat Utraman" you can find it on youtube. The video is just for fun. hehe. For my son. Mohd Daniel Asyraff.
