I would just like to say that it is most definatly a UFO. I would also like to remind everyone that a UFO is simply an uniditified flying object, therefore, since we can't identify it, it is an objct, and it's flying, it IS a UFO. It also looks like its not on google maps anymore...interesting

It is not shopped, it is real, yet it is NOT an alien spacecraft. It is a drop of water or something. There was another picture of something like this when googlemap first came out. There was a "giant" fly in a crop field in a town in Germany. I'll look up the pic if I can still find it. What you see is actually the picture OF a picture of the satellite feed with something caught in-between.

all right, lets break apart the image shall we... muahahaa

-the "object" is above a resedential area, thus forth, a weather balloon posibility diminishes.
-There is considerable blurring, which could suggest movement, or that the object is at a much different elevation than the ground that is meant to be in focus.
-the blue shadow on the object, top of image, alligns with the shadows of buildings on the ground, assuming that lighting complies, odds of a fake diminish.
-once again, shading suggests that it is disk shaped, or flatter on top, the disk shape, could be an indent, or quite possibly wind turbine, which brings about the thought of military test aircraft.
-no turbine is clear, and therefore the above point can be waved off easily.
-there have been points that this "object" could be a speck in space, or a piece of something on the lense, however, lighting once again matches up, showing that it is something within earths atmosphere.
-Now, using the lighting as a guide, we can then exclude clouds as a possiblity, as the lighting shows a distinct spherical, or circualar like shape.
-another suggestion was a blimp, the spherical shape suggests otherwise again, seeing as the blimp would either need to be an experimental design, which they do exist, or facing upwards. However, no fins, or external parts are visible.

Good points, i have no clue what it is, i'd like to believe alien craft, hoping their peacefull of course, but then again, it could honestly be anything, there is no definate way to determine what is in that image.


all we gotta do is look up, say hi, and hope we dont get fried...

I am not going to try to be mean "11 year old ufo expert", but I don't think it could be the ideas you mentioned. For one, the o-zone layer is invisible, and can not be caught on film, even if the o-zone layer had a hole in it. Also, you can't capture the sky on film when you are up above and looking down. The sky isn't a solid object, it is actually just sun light entering our atmosphere, it just looks blue because blue bends the most. Light is actually maf Plus, if a cloud was forming, it would start of white (which you did mention the white could be part of the cloud) but the cloud would not be perfectly round. Also, I personally don't think they would be testing aircrafts over a populated area.

um, I don't want to be mean or anything honey, but if you think you are so clever then learn how to spell genius okay?
Plus, it is a UFO because a UFO means unidentified flying object. Therefore it is certainly a UFO but many people get VERY confused between that and alien space ships. The rest of the points are fine... but can I just point out that science has in fact proved that something somewhere out there has recieved some of the many signals we have sent out to space i the past without meaning to. Because everything that you hear on the radio could be recieved somewhere in space... but it would take AT LEAST 50 years just to exit our area. But scientist who were listening out for a reply once caught a signal but by the time the main equipment was focused they had lost it. There you go... you learned something new.

It's not a UFO! Let's get real. They Don't exist except in people's imaginations. It's probably a plane. Why is the plane round you ask? Because the lens is round. The plane is so far out of focus it shows up round and blurred. But planes are so big how is that possible you ask? Let's put things in perspective the plane is a mile above the ground... the sat. taking the photo is hundreds of miles above the earth. The the image in focus is a section of earth about no bigger than the head of a pin from space.

You can do the same thing at home with a video camera and any object. Place the object in the 15 feet away from the camera and focus the camera on a house across the street. The smaller the object the more round and blurred it becomes.

UFO Right!, Mx633ez, romano, Etc., it may be a weather balloon, but it is highly unlikely as weather balloons would not be released in poplulated areas because of pollution and other reasons.

well since its so blury its gonna be close to the camera lense. If you know anything about photography when focusing on something far away anything close becomes blurred and many times you cannot tell what it is. Many times i go back and look at a picture i took and see some strange shape which turns out to be a piece of dust. in this case it is most likely some sort of floating debris.

if there is "evidence" agains the UFO phenomenon, then why hasnt it been published? sure, there are people that hoax, there are people that think it is funny, and i admit that i find some of them convincing, but not all are hoaxes. The american Government during WWII may have covered it up, but that is one point in history that somthing that large has been covered up. the american government has allot to answer for. as i said before, the universe is vast, almost an incomprehendable size, so why isnt there life? show me the evidence against my theorie. do you beleive everything you see on a TV show? It's not hiding an important building. The photo shows houses so I doubt one is being obscured on purpose. Do I believe we are alone in the universe? No. Are they coming here no. Why would they come here? Out of the hundreds of billions of galaxies why us? The universe is so vast and finding earth is more difficult than finding a grain of salt on a football field covered in snow. We have over 100 billion stars in our galaxy and it would take 100,000 years traveling at the speed of light to cross from one end to the other. The closest galaxy to the Milky Way is Canis Major about 25000 light years from our solar system. So if any aliens are coming here it's for a reason and we would all know about it. There's no reason for an alien race to travel thousands of light years to play hide and seek. It would be a waste of their time.

stop and think...your average house is about 30 x 30 meters. around that. then an average suburb is about...3 kilometers x 3 kilometers...now think...a city is about 100 kilometers x 100 kilometers and the planet is god knows how much. now get this. 1 lightyear = aprox. 9460800000000 kilometers. thats around how far away pluto is from earth. now, if there are INTELLIGENT aliens, they would either be extinct or are so advanced that they dont need radio technology

I pretty much doubt this been a UFO. There is no substantial evidence to backup this claim. Unless there is a source confirming that this a UFO, then until then I will think this is a hoax in Google Maps trying to make us beleive that this is a UFO. Until then (there is proof backing up this claim), I for one do not beleive this.

When you zoom in on the dome, the edges are really blurred, and it leaves the dome, but if you zoom in elsewhere, it's not like the dome, so it's fairly safe to say it's photoshopped.

It should be a dust particle or etc but it may not be a UFO because as per my understanding of UFO's they emitted harmful cosmic rays when they fly and this should affect the picture as well during photography, but there is no sign like that in picture that's why i think it's not an UFO.

and cheese whip...you said "we are fairly safe from aliens, because of the asteroid belt." well it dusnt encoumpas earth...its just shattered remains of planets that diddnt form. if you knew anything about space travel, you would know that the spacecraft 'gallileo' and a few others have traveled past jupiter, you dummy! i am a firm beleiver in alien life (that dusnt mean intelligent alien life eg, grey aliens), but i am also a beleiver in other intelligent species. DID YOU KNOW: 90% OF ALL UFO SIGHTINGS ARE HOAXES, BUT THE OTHER 10% ARE GENUINE UFO'S! first, if the blur is photoshopped, it's done pretty well, secondly, if it isn't, then it could be a heat blur. The blur seems to be equidistant around the object, so movement may not be a good conclusive answer, but heat could solve that problem. Second, it could not be a plane, the farther away from the camera the object is, then the longer the range of focus, the camera, being hundreds of miles away should make out a range of about a mile or so from above, to the ground. Unless the plane was much closer to the camera then it seems to be, it should not be rounded. Thirdly, there is a shadow, small, but there, look directly above the object, there is a dark patch. This shadow would also suggest that the object is not a plane.

the drop of water theory doesn't hold water with me...it's got a shadow almost as big as a house...

the asteroid belt offers no protection, the only thing that might offer protection from off-world aliens is the difference in biological makeup, and evolution of pathogens on our world. If the off-worlders managed to get this far, no stupid piece of dust is going to stop them, unless our elements and chemical composition are poisonous to them...

weather balloons don't usually go up over residential areas.

a test craft could definitely be possible, but would the government risk testing such an oddly shaped aircraft, in the light of day, over a residential area. The government certainly would like to stimulate discussion, but let us remind ourselves that we are dealing with one of the most secretive organizations in history - the us government. If they did wish to test this, I think they would want to keep it secret in case someone sees this and begins questioning.

and to whoever said there's no such thing as aliens - you are FLAT OUT WRONG, and I don't mean, I strongly think your wrong, I mean there is conclusive proof your wrong. Alien simply means foreign, so if any of you people are europeans, africans, asians, from anywhere in the pacific ocean, from south america, central america, canada, or non-mainland United States - you are aliens to me. actually, ALL of you are aliens to me, because I've never met you, don't know who you are, don't know about you...etc.

I think there is strong evidence that this is a UFO, but in science there is never fact, so I am obliged to only say that the two THEORIES that are most SUPPORTED are that this is a hoax, or that it is an alien craft.

You are a bit eccentric Averia2 but you sound like you have common sense. I Personally think this is a hot air balloon but there are certainly some strange events in the sky. I am a beleiver in life outside planets, but the vast distances from other planets are endless, and we all no you cannot travel faster than light. Perhaps the built wormholes to get hear fast enough. But you would think a race that advanced would have things like a material that bends light around it, rendering it invisble. If it was studying earth it would surely use its camoflage to avoid obvious detection. How did no one see this anyway? Flying over a public area. My best guess is that it is a Weather balloon or most probably photoshop? Why would an alien ship be a saucer anyway?

Ok first off this image was taken by a satellite in SPACE why would it be water...second I doubt a hot air ballon would have a reflection, and yes im a firm believer in aliens space craft since I had a first hand experience at 10 but I have my doubts towards this photo.Seems photoshoped to me, but feel free to prove me wrong anyone know the coordinates?

It is a UFO because its a flying object no one can identify, althought its classifyed as a UFO, this does not mean that there are Extra terrestrial lifeforms inside. I'm not sure its photo shopped because i think a talented photo shopper would have made such a blurry image. As For the Spot of dust on the lens theory, its unheard of to me that a sattelite so relieable could record a piece of dust that size on a lens when the focus of the picture is hundreds of miles away. Why would google take it off their website? Maybe it has something to do with all the pictures of our nations capitol, Area 51 and dick cheynes house being restricted photos. There are so many loose ends to the United states that nobody cares to see. The answers are there for anybody willing to see them.

I believe it is not a UFO. Because Google Map does not run in real time. The map was only created before being displayed. And it is updated by time to time. If it is real time, then you will see like a video image (streaming) and of course - you cannot see very well (what if the weather was cloudy at the time?, or windy?). However, clever post. Really made me visiting this site.

Obviously it is a "UFO" - Unidentified Flying Object" ....b/c it has not been identified conclusively.
The next question is if it is "Man made",a bird,a cloud....just because it is "unidentified do you then jump to the conclusion that this "object" is of "alien" origin?

The real question is is this "object" man made or not?

I believe that there is a very high probability that alien life exists...but this does not show ay "emphirical evidance" unfortunately.

In the operational definition of the word, it is an Unidentifiable Flying object. However, there are a lot of explanations that would account for the object in this image. In a universe of infinite possibilities, it is still a very long leap of logic to conclude that the object is extraterrestrial in origin. It doesn't even resemble anything artificial.

The lighting of the object does SEEM to correspond to its' surroundings, and I
somehow doubt that anybody would devote the time to render something such as this in an image manipulation program without coming up with something more imaginative.

The composition of the object appears to be that of gas or water vapor, perhaps even a plume of smoke, but that also is unlikely. In contradiction to earlier comments, clouds do in fact form into lens shapes due to the right wind conditions. These are called LENTICULAR CLOUD FORMATIONS
and they are the type of cloud most commonly mistaken for a UFO.

In conclusion: I am much more inclined to believe that this image contains an isolated random cloud formation- rather than an inter-stellar spacecraft containing members of a race of beings from Zeta Reticuli, visiting Earth to harvest DNA from our cattle in order to stave off the diminishment of their dwindling evolutionary pattern.

Area 51: I've held this in for long enough. Area 51 was just a diversion so that all those who would catch on would gather and investigate. The government knew there would be a leak, so there was no real evidence there. The real evidence was somewhere else (undisclosed) and the few people who knew about this would never be believed because it was thought to be a copycat of Area 51, which was the real hoax. Do you get it? The attention was brought to area 51. The real evidence was in Dayton OH. and later moved to the vault in the mountain.

ok, good try Dan (#26) I don't believe it's real. I've found planes and jet liners in flight over water... and they are as focused and clear as the ground and water below them. I think if there were a true "Space Craft" it would be as focused as anything else, but it would blend in and we wouldn't even notice unless we were really looking where we least expect and unless it had the sun reflecting off it really bright like the object I found in the mountains of Mexico at 32°33'52.14"N by 116°45'22.25"W on Google Earth.
There are lots of clear sightings... in the desert near the Mexican border, but 0-15 miles off to the North and South. Don't waste your time looking for this stuff... Get a life. Peace... The picture is not a UFO. I refuse to believe it. You're all a bunch of juveniles. Get out and jog and burn off all the fat you gained by eating chips and cookies at your computer. It's definitely a UFO if no one can factually identify what it is!!!! Why is it that people get a coined phrase or word in their head and are then unable to think beyond that. U-UNIDENTIFIED F-Flying O-Object all of which this object in the photo is... UFO does not mean extraterrestrial. As to what it is (beyond the fact that it IS a UFO by definition), who knows? OK let me re-clarify: the picture is NOT a UFO. I'm not saying there is no possibility of intelligent extraterrestrial life, just that the chances of any of them existing in the same time and relative space in our galactic neighborhood for them to visit our planet are unlikely. Not impossible, but UNLIKELY. if you take into account how many stars there are in our galaxy, (and there are a lot of them) and how many of those stars have a system of planets orbiting them that are capable of sustaining intelligent life, then yes, there is a high probability that a technologically advanced space-faring society COULD be able to visit us. BUT the chances of an alien society existing at the same time as our society, in a practical traveling distance to our solar system diminishes. The Universe is very old you know, and we have only been here for a very short time.

Who is to say that we are alone? Not me. But if there are other civilizations out there.. close enough to visit us? Chances are greater that they are either long gone or yet to evolve to the point that they become an inter-stellar race. And i think it is ego-centric for humankind to presume that we are the prime destination for cosmic extra-terrestrial tourists. Hate to rain on anyone's parade, i like Star Trek too. But the reality is that if there is anything in the skies that the public cant explain, it is probably gonna be something either naturally occurring that science is yet to explain, or something man-made that you weren't supposed to see.

OMG! I'm so sorry for the confusion. That's the smoke off my bbq grill. You see the damn hamburger was already thawed and leaking blood and grease on the coals. It smoked like a bitch for half an hour. By then, the burgers were burnt. Someone caught a pic of it... wow, now I can turn that in on the insurance claim. well. When I first saw this picture at glance, I completely thought it was photo shopped. But of course after much study I realized something very un- natural. If you look closely you can see a large red ring around the object! what could this be!? It looks as if it is some large forcefield that is pulsating from the object. I am on too something very big. As you all know, the Xbox 360 sometimes acquires this red ring of death!!!! connection!?!? these photos were taken on the same day in which I got the red ring, and the same city. While nobody has disclosed the location of the photo above, I don't believe it. So, I've gone and found my own UFO on Google Earth! I'm not sure if it appears on Google Map, but I will try to search soon. For now, go to 39°23'20.70"N by 31°12'13.22"W. It's located on an island that is inhabited by what I believe are Portugese. There is a shadow under the object proving that it is in the air and there are several circular landing spot nearby.

Trace, I checked out the coordinates, But I'm afraid that isn't a flying object. You'll notice that the shadow is on the south side of the object. and since the sun is also south of this object, its shadow would be on the north side. I think these are water or grain silos.

If you want to see something weird go to 30° 30 39″S, by 115°22′56″E. It's a triangle. And so far I'm not sure what it is. If its on the ground then its over 100 meters in length.

As i showed my friend just before, it's easy to grab a bit of a map off Google Maps (PrtScn), paste it in photoshop, select an area of space, move it into photoshop, add a circle, add a gradient into it, add Outer Glow and there you go, a 'UFO'

There are a few things the orb displayed in the image could be.
1. A Ufo (a round ufo using fields to cause solor objectivity against the next nearest greatest force)

The object appears close to the image source, it could be a spherical Vermana.

2. A soul (I use the word soul to describe a field of self contained energy similer to a planets that is devoid of a bodies extended memory capacity, yet is attached to a body - beyond the color spectrum of a human beings eye)

3. Small particle (it could just be a particle in front of the camera)

One of the above is exactly what is in the picture unless the objct was placed there after it was digitised, it would help me to know if the CCD taking the image, was equiped with an image intensifier, it would also help to know the exact radum of the object, and also what hemishere the image was taken in, with those details I could tell you exactly what it was, and if a UFO I could tell you exactly whats inside it!.

Okay, I want to ask you, what make you so sure about your declaration?
We talk about the fact. Although, now there are so many rumors that tell us about UFO, we can't prove its fact. Maybe, it just:
1. Dust on your camera lens.
2. Water drop.
3. (Poor, sorry)Bird's feces.
4. The roof of a building.
But, if we talk about the atmosphere and alien or (whatever), we just can see the photo or picture of the UFO, and BELIEVE it at once, but we don't know about the fact or what make the picture look like what we see. Return to you "BELIEVE IT OR NOT"

Well, I don't know. I love the idea of alien species and I am sure we cannot possibly be living on the only planet suitable for life in this universe. There are two issues here. Number 1: People who are more interested in the fun part of alien study should be allowed to have fun. Number 2: Anybody who says it isn't a UFO because there are no aliens is very confused. As long as you don't know what something is but it is flying, it is a UFO. End of story.
