Believe it or not, I actually thought about this not too long ago. However, I thought that it would've been absurd to just do 1 homepage and sell the space just for ads. 0.0

This fellow definetely proved me wrong. LoL!
  • LcF · 4 years ago
Danny, you thought of it but never put your idea into action. You lost a change to be millionaire. :)
  • Bee · 4 years ago
Angmo is really....... sigh.... dono how to say...... miracle lah....! :) Good try and creative. I respect that sincerely.
  • Jlchannel · 4 years ago
Why? Why? I never think of this..... hheheeheheee
  • Jacky · 4 years ago
That's a brilliant idea. I actually saw it sometime ago. Anyway, I think the programming shouldn't be very difficult...
  • SapiensBryan · 4 years ago
When I first saw it, there were only a few ads. Didn't know it grew so fast.

Wondering will all the pixels been filled?
  • stchatterbox · 4 years ago
it's a very good idea. but 1 is enough, if you follow his path, it's not fresh to people anymore...and you won't win...... :)
  • red · 4 years ago
    brilliant idea.
  • Alexa Too · 4 years ago
Wow. Tons of others out there too! Good grief.

There seems to be one based on "zero" dollars too.
  • red · 4 years ago
The last two links are not working? Anyway here's my attempt Homepage of The Year, it might fail miserably, but i guess no harm to try.
  • Powerstar · 4 years ago
    How about this idea?
You pay for ads and have something extra.

    http://250000.org
  • red · 4 years ago
powerstar: perhaps the contest or lucky draw should be for the visitors, to make them come back frequently.
  • korokmu · 4 years ago
yes. make something like extra ad-space. those who is th first 100th and 500th visiting the site will get credits. when they have collect 5 credits, ther ads will be at the extra ad-space. name it with something like supporters' ads
  • Powerstar · 4 years ago
That's actually not a bad idea. Maybe I can come up with something where the advertisers and the visitors both get something. Thanks for the idea Red.

MillionPixelPage.com is free!!! You can upload your own logo or picture on the fly.
  • SusanM · 4 years ago
Wow what a fab scam. Lets start the billiondollarScam.com and send all the money to the poor african children. http://www.meomo.com Rocks though
  • Powerstar · 4 years ago
I'm thinking of offering the visitors a chance to win money also. It's been working well for me so far. I wanted to create the page depending on my personality. Giving away free ads or credits wouldn't work because there are many site that are offering free pixels but have no traffic going to them. I have a good amount of traffic slowly coming and might stick to the idea of giving away money, or better yet more money. I'll sleep over it and think about it. I think I know where I'm going with this. 99.

    http://www.milliondollarmosaic.com

Pop Art inspired soup can mosaic. The idea is to finish with an exhibition with all the advertisers logos blown up onto a huge canvas. Links are permanent and the site forms part of a wider network of art related sites.

  • Alan · 4 years ago
Listed by category, so you can actually find adverts you want - maybe advertisers will like this idea more? http://www.choicedirectory.co.uk
  • Jason · 4 years ago
There is also this one I just found:

    http://www.OneDollarPixels.com
  • Jeff · 4 years ago
I found 4 new pixel sites, they are all using the same script. These give away the pixels for FREE, but you can buy the script
for less than you pay for one block of pixels on the other sites and set it up on your own website.

This is the main one here
    PixelYourPage.com

Then a copy of that one is here
    AlotMoreTraffic.com

The next two are for members of MySpace.com and Xanga.com, you must be a member of those sites to get pixels
    PixelsForMySpace.com
    PixelsForXanga.com

Looking for even more :), what a great idea!
  • henry · 4 years ago
this one is the first i have seen that will post your pixel image after confirming your payment. I guess it is the New and Improved version. Wish politicians can come up with creative ways to erase the defecits.

any way here is the link:

  • Meredith · 4 years ago
So is it really a scam, or is it legitimate? I had been told about this site and was thinking about advertising there. Please tell me if it's actually a scam. Thank you!
  • LcF · 4 years ago
In my opinion, it is not worth to buy the pixels. There are too many copycat websites now (you can see in the comments here). What is the percentage the site visitor clicks on your pixel block? You probably need buy a lot pixel blocks to have something meaningful, thus attract visitors' clicks.
  • John Million · 4 years ago
    Hello!

About which site are you talking about?
    Go to
http://www.millionpixelpage.com and get some free pixels!
  • Meredith · 4 years ago
I was talking about milliondollarhomepage.com, which is supposed to be the original or something.
Also, why are some blocks smaller than others, when they're all supposed to be the same size (10 x 10)?
    Thanks LCF & John. :)

    Hi,

I've found another million pixel site, this time it is UK based, selling the pixel blocks for £10. The best thing i can see about this site though is that the profits of the site go to charity!

    cheers

I started today a site that is intended to raise some money for the poor kids in my country (Bulgaria). I think every dollar would make a difference to them. If there is anyone with good marketing capabilities out there who would be willing to help, just write to boyan@millionpixels4kids.com (I admit I don't have enough marketing background).
